Yellowwatchmens 40 breeder thread. (pics)

No he was by himself. I think it was because he was mad because i added 30 lbs of live rock about a week after i got him. I also got some new corals today! I got a Finger leather (Sinularia sp.) and some blue centered Zoos. I will post pics tomorrow since they are closed up right now. The zoos probably wont be open for a couple days since i dipped them in some lugol's solution to get rid of any nudis if there were any.

Here are the pics of the corals.
Zoos-$30
Leather-$25

The zoos are still not all the away open i took a pic of where some were open. They are mostly blue centered but there is also pink, red, orange, and green. I will get some more pics in a couple days when they are all open.

Oh yeah my bta moved underneith a rock about a week ago and i was hopeing it would come back in the front but it didn't move any. Does any one have any sugestions that might make it move.

Well i am going to keep the lights off for 3 days. Today was the first day. And when i got home i turned on the light real quick to see if everything was ok and the tank was cloudy. Is this normal?

Here are some more pics of my tank after i did the 3 day blackout and after i got the new bulb.

Get rid of the starfish, it is only going to eat everything in your sand bed and eventually die. No matter what an LFS tells you.

Trade it back in. They're awesome, but not good for capitivity.

Get like a dozen smaller nausarius, or half a dozen larger ones. They are really active. They bury & resurface all through out the day.

I have maybe 5 now and want to get at least 8 more.

Way more active than cerith snails even. You could add a few of those if you like too.
