Are bristle worm hard to see because I have never seen one in my tank, I got like 20 of these in my hand when I changed my filter sock.
 
they do tend to stay hidden, esp. in daytime. Check your tank with a red flashlight after lights out and you may well see more. If your population gets large some will come out of the substrate when you feed the tank. Not to worry - they're helpful members of your cleanup crew. Wear gloves, though. They pack a pretty nasty sting.
 
I disagree it there are too many the will eat coral and others, I'd but a fish that would eat them to be safe. its a win win, new fish, fat happy fish and mre coral groth
