Your experience with Pink Lemonade

If you acclimate it properly this guy does best in high light IMO. If you have a mustard yellow to green its probably not enough light or a lot of nutrients. Might explain the slow growth your experiencing too.

Probably so, I don't test very often, but everything else seems to grow pretty well.

Darryl and Tom, how long have you had this coral in your systems and how big was the frag you started with?

This thread needs some more pics...

Great colony... looks just like mine does color wise but is much smaller at this point. It seems like most PLs I see are green instead of yellow, it's nice to see a yellow/pink colony. Mine loves high light and flow to keep the bright yellow color.

My favorite yet. Nice colony.
thanks.

I bought mine as a small frag maybe around 3 yrs ago. Its about the size of a small diner plate but it gets fragged quite regularly.

thanks...yours will grow up before you know it.

I have a 3/4" frag. It's grown a quarter inch in acouple months but has encrusted over the mounting point. That's how a lot of my Sps would start. Slowly encrust over the rock and then once they started branching it would grow a lot faster.

My colony gets high light and high flow. This colony was a single branch frag 2 1/2 years ago

By far my favorite acro. Here's mine getting about 600 PAR 6" under a Sunpower T5 fixture.

And here it is under the Hydra 52. Been 6" directly below it for about 2 weeks now and has colored up even more (or maybe it's just the Royal Blue LEDs that bring out the color more) This thing LOVES light. Sorry, couldn't get a non-blurry shot with my crappy point and shoot.

Darryl, your tank is still running?

Ya, it's still up for now. The corals have been raided a bit. At this point I've sold off all my LPS, most my zoa and maybe 1/4 of my SPS. The tank still looks pretty full though at this point, I had soooo much coral. Selling off my coral has been bitter sweet, the guys who are getting it are taking their time too. I dont complain cause I still like to see my tank but I'm starting to really slack on the maintenance.

I've had this piece for about 3 months just starting to take off. Color came pretty fast it was pretty much a brownie, growth not so much lol. I need to move it pretty soon. I kinda just put it there.

Congratz mr. pluto! that is a killer colony!

Mine is in high flow and high light under 400w radiums. Im seeing decent growth, but not the fastest in the tank.

2.5 years of growth from a 2" single branch frag. Grown about 25" from 400w Radiums, high flow, tank is 19" high. I wish i had placed it closer to the light

Here's a frag from Darryl's pl:

It's now a little larger than a toony. Have it under Mitras about 8 inches from the surface, high flow.
It was about a one inch frag when I got it 4 months ago.. It's growing steadily but not quickly in my tank... Darryl's colour/nutrient comment is consistent with my experience because my po4 is around .12 and n is 1ppm.
I hope to lower p a bit and bring out the yellow more..
