Your Show Fish?

If you have one, what's the one fish in your aquarium that you spent the most money on, or what was supposed to be the fish that everyone liked the most and is supposed to be impressed by?

For me it's my purple tang, but of course people that come over are much more intrigued by my 15$ starfish >_>

I'm just like wow, 300$ fish or a little invert. I guess it would be different if somebody that knew about reefs looked at my tank

But anyway, what's your "show fish"?

regal angel (blue grey belly 13-14 months)
false personifer angel
blonde naso male
purple tang
hawaiian trigger fish

are you asking based on size,age,color.or cost?

then if you throw in some of my planned additions it makes it even harder to pick a SHOW fish such as
scribbled angel
auzzie harlequin tusk
black tang

In mine, probably would go with my purple tang. But I've got a baby multicolor angel too so it's a toss up

I got a lavender tang I love. Today he was deep purple with bright orange spots!

people are most intrigued by my marine Betta, though I think all my fish are "show" fish.

AlexS95, I am assuming that is a type of frog fish, it is awesome. Can you tell me a little about the tank setup it is in, basically what else do you have in there with it and have you had much trouble with him eating things?

For me, I would have to say its my Sohal. Alot of people like my queen angel, but I see them everywhere. I only know a few people locally who have a sohal in their tank.

Painted frog fish!!! They get kinda big. Aparently they get 5-6in. How big a tank and what type of settup would it require??

My Angler is in a 20g with a Leaf fish and a few zoos, nothing special. There is a lot of info on them in the FOWLR/Aggressive section. I just feed him ghost shrimp 3x a week and he doesn't bother anything. Though most people keep them by themselves, I have him the Leaf fish because I think that he would be safe with him because his mouth doesn't open up that much.

I would love to have an angler like that. maybe if I increase the size of my refugium I could keep him down there. It would be for just me to enjoy, and I could sneak it in there without my wife knowing I got a new fish!!!

Just a side note Alex, my black angler is about 3.5-4 inches, and took down my 4 inch foxface...had him 3/4 of the way in, and the foxface wiggled out, so didn't quite finish the job...but he could have, lol.

That being said, I have a leaffish in with him as well. :mixed:
