Yum

It's not the most perfectly focused or the best composed picture... but I really like it. I call it "Yum" :) I got this regal angel a week ago and cant get it to eat anything so I finally went down to the LFS and got the cheapest zoanthid I could and stuck it in the tank with regal, hoping it will eat. Anyway, for some reason I just liked this photo.

Too bad we aren't neighbors. I have wild zoas by the tens of thousands in the local brackish water river. I'd like to try a brackish tank with some soft corals in it. Of course the "river" (it is actually a lagoon) connects directly to the ocean, and there are zoas there to.

Hmmmm, I wonder what shipping from Florida to Alaska would be, it might be worth my while to have you send me a ton of those :)

She is beautiful! I would love to try a Regal one day. Did she eventually eat any of the zoas?
Unfortunately, no, she hasnt even nipped at them. That shot I posted of her looking at them was the closest I ever saw her get to them.

The photo makes me want to scream "NOOOOO!!!!".

Many reef keepers can't keep angels off their zoos and when presented with some, your angel turns his nose up. More than a bit of irony there.

The intensity of his gaze makes me think he will be dining on them eventually.

Beautiful fish. And a lovely photo too.

Has he ever bother the SPS, I have some zoa and button poylps that are growing out of control, will Regal solve my dilema once for all, I hate the button polyps especially since they encroach and kill everthing cross their path, including some of prized monti's.

Unfortunately, after two days she still isnt eating the zoanthids or anything else in the tank. She gives that same intense gaze to everything I try to feed but wont try anything, I'm getting a little worried about her.

I have no SPS with her, she is in my sump for the moment getting used to captive life and feeding before I place her in with my more aggressive fish.

A lot of people say they eat zoas like mad, it's a good bet if you got one it would.

They arent a fish for the faint of heart, they are pretty finicky but once they get established they are a good solid fish.

I havent, but I'm googling them now, I might give it a shot. At this point I'm willing to try anything. I'm going to be raising brine shrimp on Sunday to feed to her Monday, although they might be a little small for her.

You dont happen to know a place online that carries it, do you?

Edit - NM, I'm going to order some from Vivid Aquariums.
