Zeovit - System

Reef Addict
Whats your experience been with your zeovit system?

Where are you purchasing your additives?

What additives are you purchasing?

What are you dosing and when?

Any learning curve with it?

Describe your overall system as a reference?

Regards,
Chris

i thought about going zeovit but with constant adding of a drop here and there and stirring the reactor, it was a turn off for me.

I looked into it with my local fish store. hes trying it first on his personal tank before selling it at his store. IMO i spend enough time on my tank. Spending a lot more money and time on my tank on top of what i do now I'm going to have to pass. like one stated above a drop here, a drop their, oh yea stir this reactor, now go back to the store and buy another $50 bottle the size of a frag plug lol it just sounds a little too ridiculous for me. but to each his own.

the people that use it have insane growth and crazy colors...shaking the reactor is feeding for the corals.if i couldnt remember to shake the reactor to feed corals i wouldnt even try keeping fish...lmao

ALLmost and cunareefer both run full zeo systems and their tanks are simply awesome.if u dont hear from them here send em a pm. they have answered all my questions regarding zeo...

hello, just to answer some of the questions ... I use basically all the additives now or have before ... it takes your reef to the next level.
there is of course a learning curve and takes some time to understand the "science" behind it and what each product does, so you can alter your dosing as needed.

it also makes set up much easier ... display tank with flow .. as much rocks as u wish ... [zeoliths take care of it] sump with skimmer, heater, zeoreactor and GAC. plus lighting on display and that's it.

dosing is once /twice a day ... as said above, if you do not have time for that ... then you wont have time for an aquarium ... takes me about 3-4 minutes a day to dose, but I spend alot more time looking at my corals.

I do not advice ppl's first reef tank to be on zeovit, should use berlin method for a while, and when you have success you should move to Zeovit to take it to next level.

Hope it helped.

some recent pics : and my tank is overstocked with fish IMO.

Dude what the heck is that orange stag in the 3rd pic? That is beautiful! Never saw anything like that before.

Not having a first reef on Zeo is great advice. If you don't have the knowledge to grow out a reef using traditional methods, you will most likely not reap the benefit of using zeo

the one behind the green one ?

its a red digitata actually .. white base, red polyps.

B-balance makes the red stand out nice,

I do not use Zeospur2 anymore though in those pics ...

I think you can have zeo colors without zeovit

I agree .... but to put in better terms, "you can have corals look as they naturally should look without Zeo."

but what if you increase number of fish and feeding in your tank ? corals will suffer, zeo takes care of that :)

also the zeo color additives like Xtra bring out some colors that you just dont see as deep in other tanks.

your tank is very beautiful, clean and simple, I love it. is it still up ?

I´m saying that because I used to use some zeo stuff

But I think is not necessary, you can achieve the same or better results without them

best regards

do u have pics from when you were using zeo? you must not have noticed a change in colors or growth? were you just dosing or did you run full zeo reactor?

I used to run a full zeovit system with the fauna marin stuff, 7 years ago I think

After I tried some stuff from zeo, like poly extra, amino acid , coral snow, zeospur 2, pocci glow, coral vitalizer.

But fortunately I changed my mind and now my rules is keep it simple....just water changes and ballling. And I´m very happy with the results that I have / had

I can´t see any difference in colors or growth using zeo stuffs.

You know, sometimes when we are dosing things, we can see things that we want to see. I can see dead people :fun2:

Some guys can´t live without dose something in the tank.

But, this is just my opinion and my way of keeping my tanks

This works for me and I think works for a lot of guys

Best Regards

I agree with your comments above ...

[Except running full ZEOVIT with FAUNA MARIN stuff ... what does that mean ? ]

but saying you do not see a difference after dosing zeospur2 just makes no sense ... Im sorry.

same goes with Xtra.

dose Zeospur2 close to a coral, and watch it shed its zoox .... in REAL time !

I too see dead ppl, they turned out to be alive ! I was simply wrong thinking Im seeing dead ppl.
