Question to the zeovit experts, I have a 50 gallon system about a month old, two problems, one is my lps are looking bad, specifically my acans. They are shriveled up and barely holding on, two my PO4 are high 0.46ppm but low nitrates 0.1 ppm, I calibrated my reactor at 212 gph (0.5L) of stones and previously it was running at 500 GPH. So i attribute the low nitrates due to this oversight. Now I want to drop my PO4 down to more acceptable range, would it be a bad idea to try some gfo for a few days to help control my levels?
Hi Jstn, Could you please provide me a break down of your dosing regimen? I always recommend a lesser amount of the zeo media (20% to begin with and go from there). Try slowing down the flow through your reactor to 16oz every ten seconds. Can you please tell me when the last time you changed your media was? Can you tell me how much of the media you changed? I've been answering questions for the past 2.5 hours, so I am about to call it a night, but I will be back tomorrow to help.
Warmest Regards,
James
