Anyone in URS own one?

I can't think of a nicer top town display, but I've searched the forums and the web and I found 2 photo threads on them. What's far more common is people complaining about having to clean coralline algae off the outside and the inside.

A rimless aquarium, with no surface agitation (but a back overflow to break the water surface in one spot) would be good as a lookdown. especially a wide, and shallow tank. (like some of the large coral tanks at ARC

It's a cool tank, but not very practical. For one, it's tough to add power heads since draping a power cord over the side would force water to run down it. They evap. a ton, so an auto top off is a must. They do splash a little, making salt creep climb down the side of the stand.

It's a cool novelty, but I wouldn't put one in my home.

i love the one up at ARC...but after talking about the maintenance and the splash...i wouldn't do one in my home either, unless it was in a garden sunporch environment with a slate or rock floor...
