Zibba's Reefs

Do you have a flickr photostream link so I can view these from work? Work blocks the static flickr pages but I can view photo streams. :D
Just right mouse click on an image, Copy Image Location, open a new tab in your browser, Paste & Go, will take you to Flickr.

Nope, it's a blocking issue. staticflikr is blocked for me.

Thank's Zibba, looks fantastic, and now I can enjoy the pictures any time. :D

Thanks, Sean! It's a super bright piece, however, it's a very slow grower for me.

Wanted to share a few more pictures from tonight:

We just added this beautiful female 8-line wrasse. After seeing Hunter's male (RIP) a long while ago, I definitely wanted to get one for this tank. Hoping it turns male down the road. She was shy and--just as Hunter predicted--she came out and was in the mix within a few days.

Two candid shots of the fish cruising around tonight:

This picture doesn't do this fish any justice but I just can't wait to share. He's doing awesome in QT and will likely go in very soon. C. lineatus:

Tank is coming along awesome, I have been following it since the beginning. Guessing the MicroBacter7 worked out for you? I see your algae issues have subsided immensely. I am starting to get a little bubbling algae here and there, mostly when the full lighting is on. Will have to give that a try.

Thanks for the compliment and for following along, ECreefer!

I just dosed MB7 at the very beginning to help with biodiversification. I wouldn't attribute the algae reduction to MB7 alone; rather, I'm sure it was a combination the tank maturing and the herbivores (snails, crabs, etc.) slowly working away at it. Having a tank big enough for several tangs really helps as they pick all day long.

I have bubble algae in both of the connected tanks and a bit of bryopsis here and there. I manually remove it when I'm feeling up to it but I don't do anything too drastic.

Emerald crabs have been the best at getting rid of bubble algae, however, they don't venture up to the very top of the rock work (assuming it's because they'd be lunch to the melanarus and yellow "coris" wrasse) and I don't like to add them to the smaller tank because I have small fish in there and they could probably catch them pretty easily.

Here are a few shots from last night as the tank was ramping down:

Moved this blasto from the smaller tank to the larger tank to give it some room to grow:

Hopefully I can grow this one out -- love to watch the progression from corals this size:

Love that red blasto!

Thanks M&T! Yes, we do too. It has some cool yellow streaks in it too.

You're too kind, Elliott. I'll bring you a piece of that coral next time we meet up.

Wow those pictures of stunning! :D

Thank you nuxx!!

Awesome sps collection and fantastic photography. Well done!

Much appreciated! Progress on the entire build is very slow but the actual tank is doing well, which I'm not going to complain about!

Here are a few fish shots from tonight:

Our desjardini tang is maturing and getting some great markings:

This male lyretail is very stunning -- too bad I couldn't catch a picture of him with the antenna up.

Corals are looking stunning my friend. Somehow lost the subscription to your thread. Colours just look awesome.

As promised, here's an updated FTS. Things are a bit of a mess as I'm housing some corals for a friend on the little frag island on the lower right-hand sand bed and I just added a small rock from the sump under the setosa for some low-light corals.

One more of the heliofungia -- I obviously prefer it under the blue LEDs but it adds great movement to the tank.
