Zildjian's 180 Reef Tank

Nice job on the stand. With the concrete floor are you worried about the casters allowing the tank to be bumped and sloshed/split? I want to convert my garage to a man cave but my wife wants to bring her truck inside in the winter ... Maybe 1 can get 1/2 :eek2:

Thanks for the comment! I'm not to worried about the concrete floor, the tank is on wheels for a reason.. when we remodel my basement the tank will be rolled away from the wall, and we'll put the new flooring down.. then move the tank back.. ha man cave would be awesome!

hey guys,

i'm going to purchase 3 Coralvue Lumen Bright III SE Mini Pendants for my tank.. i'm just not sure on which to choose between.. well which do you guys recommend? the mini reflector, and have them higher up off the water surface? or the mini wide reflector and have them lower to the water surface to achieve greater par numbers?

please let me know. thanks everyone in advance

When you move your tank, will you move it with water and corals. Never seen anyone put wheels on stand, great job keep us posted.

thanks everyone for the comments! yes, i will move everything with water and corals very sloowwwwly lol! it's not going to be fun, but it will work fine. those wheels are rated 500lbs each. and i have eight of them all together. four of them in the back and four in the front.

sup guys,

fedex lost my box number 4, so now the rock company is shipping me a new one. i received another box of 65lbs today though, which i'm glad about. which now the current lbs of live rock in my tank is 240.

i just wanted to share with you guys an update on my current 40Breeder Reef Tank..

so my LPS were really ****ed once i removed all my sand in my tank after i moved it, so i've been spot feeding them about every other day, and they love it, but all my corals i have on the bottom of my tank just move around stinging each other, and getting pushed underneath some rock work. and as soon as i stop spot feeding my LPS for like 3 days, they go back to being ****ed again.. i can't take it! so today i finally had it with the barebottom tank.. i decided to add some sand into my tank after i did a water change.. so heres some pictures of my tank as of 7-13-10 plus a video i took today!

im not worried about my aquascaping on this tank, because i just threw everything back into my tank once i moved the whole system.. and i can care less about my ridiculous amount of bubble algae, since i'm not keeping any of this rock after i take all the fish and corals out of the tank, and move them over to my 180gallon system once it's ready for them.

it's cloudy because i just added the sand, but o well
