Zoa/paly eater?

Anyone have any clue what these are? I think they've been consuming my devil's armor colony, which would explain the neon appearance. I tried searching, but haven't come across anything like them.

Do you have any damaged polyp?
How many of those have you found and how?
Can you post a picture of the zoa colony too?

That's a beautiful slug! Great picture!

Great pic! I am really interested in this as I ran into this a long time ago but could never get a good enough pic of that slug. They move really fast too btw!

If in doubt, DIP , inspect, pull out/off what you find, QT if needed. Looks like a flat worm or slug of type.

They move super fast though right? For some reason I really like this thread, it's really interesting and great photos btw!

I thought that nudis take on the color of the coral that they eat... they look pink and those look like Armor of Gods... just a guess though.

I can guarantee you it's not a nudi, but I don't know what it is. I initially thought it might be one of the tiny Marginella species (snail), but I can't find anything that looks right other than the size and shape. May have to wait for Leslie on this one, or one of the other less-narrowly-focused identifiers. It's very cool in any case.

thanks for coming by to take a look at Don. Please do pass this info to Leslie and others to see if we can get a ID on it.

Some people call them flat worms.
Others would prefer sea slugs...

Would be great if one could identify them with a scientific name.

Are they really eating the zoas?
Are the zoas closed and damaged?
More info, please.

Most of my zoas/palys have lost alot of color. I have noticed some tissue damage and I only find these little critters on them. What else would they be doing if not eating the zoas? I think my only option now is to remove all the zoas/palys and start a small QT. Here's some I managed to siphon out today.

Are the polyps closed/ irritated by them all the time?
Where are the tissue damages on the zoas? Head?
Do you see them while the lights are on?

Would be interesting to see some pictures of the damaged area.

I would think they are predators, by what you're saying.
Siphon them out and keep looking for more...
Maybe their number is not that high and you could eradicate their population just by doing that.

What camera and what lens are you using for the shots?
Very nice!
