Zoa pest questions

So I posted in the zoanthid forum with no response. Anyway I got a small colony of zoas today from a LFS and I was inspecting them before placing them into Qt and I found not 1 but 2 spiders and 1 zoa eating nudibranch on them. I removed all 3 pests but I am not sure what to do since I have never had this problem before. The whole colony is open and I never would have guessed they had something when I was at the LFS. Is there a good dip I should use? I read about iodine based dips for the nudis but what can I do about the spiders? I am mostly concerned about the eggs of both pests since I think I got the adults. Thanks for any help

If it was me and I saw that I wouldn't have put that piece in my tank at all.Those zoa eating nudibranches will whipe out all of your zoas. There are dips Im just not sure which one is best hopefully someone else will chime in and help you out

Coralrx will knock the nudis off. There is also another one that has that "pinesol" smell that will also knock them off. I forget the name of it. I would do this in a freshwater dip. I have used tap water and not RO, but your tap water may be different than mine.
I would not put it into the display/main tank until you are sure that you have them all killed. These products do not kill the eggs.
You will just have to keep dipping, inspecting and picking them off until they are gone.

I think the pinesol-ey one was Revive? A lot of the SPS guys have been getting into that for dipping SPS for monti nudibranches, so maybe it works for zoanthid nudibranches as well.

Long-term quarantine is your best bet. The nice thing about zoanthids is that unless it's a HUGE colony on a HUGE rock, you can keep them alive in just about any situation under salt water for a few weeks. Heck, I've got my 2.5g tank here that I kept zoanthids and euphillias under with just one of the screw in PC lights from the LFS for over a year, until it didn't get topped off, and everything was nuked

Thanks for the help. they are in QT right now. I am gonna go and find some of that revive stuff.
