Zoa Pox?(Pics)

Relatively new here, just noticed these on the back of two colonies of zoanthids. Was curious whether or not this is zoa pox. If so what is the best way to treat it. Thank you.

OHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH...... just got a handfull of colonies infected as well... I only had 1 colony infected but didn't pull it out to QT in time now, several other colonies got it tooo...

Furan2 is the best method of cure...

In a separate 5 gallon bucket (1 gallon of RO )( same pH and temp as your tank )
1-2 tablets of furan per couple of cups or something ( need to check on RC or Clubzoa for this )
dip them for 15-20 mins... turkey baste them too....
then once done... dip them in a separate bucket of RO to rinse them off the meds. then place them in a QT ( quarantine tank ) with decent light and good water flow...

repeat steps 3 times in the week... then let rest for another week, but if still continues repeat step again.

Dammit. Thanks for the help. I will be out of town for two weeks so i'll do my best and expect the worst.....


Edit: I dont have any Furan-2 and my lfs has never heard of it.. soooo will Methelyne Blue work?

you can actually pic up FURAN2 from most major market pet stores like Petsmart or PETCO even.

If you can't treat them right away, at least put them in a Quarantine tank to avoid the infection from spreading to other healthier zoos... as they will if not kept in check.
some have said healthier zoos can fight them off, but I don't know.

I concur, Furan will work. I have heard from many reefers.

I got zoa pox and I kept my parameters stable and did a water change and they got better by themselves. People freak out and do all these dips that stresses the zoas out even more.

Well, I called 3 lfs and two chain stores(Petco and PetsMart) all of which dont carry the product. I plan to buy it online. The two colonies are in a little Q tank. I already have Methelyne Blue and Iodine. Will either of these work temporarily?

I had something like that on my button colony and all I did was gently scrub it with a soft bristle tooth brush and QT it for a while they slimed like crazy for a while but I've never seen it again so...

Dont really know fishboy, I was actually thinking of experimenting on a couple of polyps with the same issues and use other fungus treatment remedies....
