zoanthid question.

Quick question, I've recently picked up quite a few zoa frags, some of them are on a frag plug, the others are on large frag tiles. My question is, once the zoa is glued to the frag plug, is it possible to pop them off the plug or, should I just cut the plug down and glue it to the rock?

Both can be done but personally I don't like cutting the skin of the coral ever. Each one is different. So what I'm saying is depending how long ago it was glued u maybe able to pop the glue off the Zoe will stay attached to the glue then mount that to ur rocks.

But u can cut the zoa too and re attach it but survival percentage goes way down if u do that

The reason they are on smooth tiles is because you can use a blade and remove them. Plugs I would prob cut the plug

Depends, If you want the coral to cover the rock then either cut the frag plug or pop the coral off the plug/tile and glue onto the rock. Another option is to glue the stem of the frag plug onto the rock, as the coral begins to encrust onto the plug you can easily remove the plug to frag or glue onto a larger disk. Up to you on whatever look your going for.

I've used dykes/wire cutters to cut off the bottom of the ceramic plug and shape the not natural plug into a more rock like look then glue it
