Jeff - I have had my Nuvo 16 running for 3 years now, breaking down in the next few weeks since my 93 is running, finally. I had the same fear originally, hearing of the cracking, but from what I could in my research, in the instances when they cracked, the tank was not on a surface that was flat or was not on a stand that could properly support the weight. I would not let the fear overcome this tank if the price is right, it seriously has been my favorite nano I ever ran.
