10,000 gal pool reef. 38,000 liters

Hey guys. Sorry to have been gone for a bit but between COVID and building this beast, it’s been a little hectic.

Things are still going - just very slowly. And if you’re in the DFW area, I’m still looking for help.

I’m further along than this but here’s my imgur for the pics:

I just checked out your imgur, and realized that I had seen one of your posts earlier and was confused about it, thought it was just a pool with a bar inside, not a reef!
Now that I know it's you, I can pay more attention!

For those who can't see the Imgur. Here's the last one so far.

The coping around the reef has an indent for the 30” of glass that’ll raise the reef water.
The concrete pillars are there to support the glass since it’s a 16’ span and I’ll break that up into 10’ and 6’
The reef windows will let me see through to the floor and the hidden caves.

The sump window was just in case. :)
 
Really amazing,
A lot has happened since that first shovel of dirt
The engineering required is incredible.

Karim, do you still have a holding system or will you be starting fresh on this system? I remember that the original greenhouse holding system didn't make it but curious if you started another one? Any idea on the build timeframe going forward? It's very cool to see this come to fruition!

Most of my life is distributed among friends - banked basically :D

I hope I can restart with a little seeding from those colonies.
