Yea thats right. Matt and I hit up 10 stores today. started at 130 and got home about 830. only bought 2 things, but saw a lot of nice stuff. everything we liked was maddd expensive! whats up with that?
little tired so i'm going to acclimate and lay in bed watching tv.
p.s. if anyones looking for something ask because we saw it all!

big als
pets unlimited
fish empire
deep reef
reef aquariums 2
fishes of eden
coral reef aquatics
doral aquarium and reptile
and 2 more. matts got the list!

1 last thing...fish empire up in coral springs...only store I know that puts every fish they sell into qt for atleast 5 days. Theres a whole room in the back full of little qt bins full of fish. I think thats awesome and would highly recommend them!

Must be nice to have some stores local like that. I only have 3 with in an hour drive for me. Makes me really miss orlando. Oh well.

Awesome, we need more threads with recommended store hop routes! My Southern Dade store hop route: 13 Stores one day:
Deep Reef (5688 Flagler)
Aquariumart (6XXX Bird)
Reef Aquarium II (7390 Bird)
Exotic Aquariums (7399 Bird)
Strictly Fish (8373 Bird)
Amazing Aquariums (8343 Bird)
Aquarium Concepts (7288 SW117Ave)
Aquairumart (87Ave&132SWst)
Atlantis Aquarium (14321 Dixie)
House of Fins (14123 Dixie)
Coral Reef Aquatics (12733 Dixie)
Gables Aquarium (8295 Dixie)
Aquariumart (6104 Dixie)

When your on the southern dade route, you can make it 13 or 14 stores. When you're by Aquarium Concepts, you can go to Aquarium Depot in town and country. There's also Neptune Aquariums and reptiles on 137 Ave and like 38 St SW.

there was an awesome...and i mean awesome red montipora at the first store on bird road on the north side. forget the name. they wanted too much money than matt and I could afford. would love to have it though! and then no radiant wrasses. I told you where I found one and now its gone...guess you didn't go get it!

yea...we didn't really have that good of a route planned. ended up just trying to figure out from the fish store list what was closest and calling and getting directions. next time we'll plan it out a little more...if there is a next time. it was a rough, but fun day.

Sounds like fun, Thankfully I work in the Kndall Area, live in Flagler Area & My fiance lives in the West kendall Area. Thankfully any way I go I have access to all these stores. I would like to one day see the broward stores. I hear great things from them!!

I went to fish empire today too...around 2:15, the fishes are nice except for that popeye angel. Lots of wrasses! The corals tanks are not doing so good tho. I was looking for a flame hawk, but I might just get the longnose from big al.

he said something happened with the one coral tank and thats why everything was looking so bad...I bought a huge rock of red zoos from there. very good deal! it was like 500 zoos.

Yea it seemed like a good day to just chill and check out LFS. I do want to visit all of them eventually but honestly every fish store in Miami/Dade has nothing on the Broward stores coral/fish/drygoods selection and customer service and prices. I think I may save the gas money and just take a drive over to Coral Reef Farm or Fishes of Eden.

fish empire .. iv never seen good coral there or atleast thetank looking nice . ( granted i stop in once every few months on the way to work) but they almost always have good fish.

I wish we had a Big Al's up here, I drove down there 2 weeks ago just to pick up some Mex-Turbos. For some reason It seems they allways have them In stock with good prices also. On Top of that I ended up going on Tuesday night which I didnt know was shark feeding night pretty cool and also got an extra 10% off all live stock.
