100 Gallon H. Erectus, Seagrass, Macro Algae Lagoon

As a freshwater planted tank fan, I have to confess that tank can rival the best of the freshwater world. The colors are amazing as are the shapes. Not to mention it's all algae.

getting ready to re do my tank in the next few days. after the rock is finished and i add some finer sand, i'm going to add sea grass. mainly want to do syringodium, to keep the tank looking proportioned. but may use a little thalassia.

what is that fish that is on the sandbed in those pics it looks really cool

That is a sea moth (Eurypegasus draconis). I have a pair of them. The one pictured is the male. They have two legs and walk around the sandbed all day eating pods. There is an extremely strong pair bond with these fish, even more so than seahorses.

Wow, you really keep a powder blue tang with seahorses and even sea moths? I'd think the tang would be making life difficult for the more passive fish.

No problems with the tangs. If I ever noticed any agressive behavior I would remove them asap. I actually have three- a powder blue, blue and a 6.5" achilles tang. The achilles and sea moths will happily eat right next to each other in the sand bed.

The green macro is a soccer ball sized piece of live rock covered in maiden's hair. That is one of my favorite macros in the tank. I have it right under the nozzle so it gets a ton of flow.

I was to turn my 90g into a macro tank, except none of the stores here carry anything other than chaeto and caulerpa. I've got chaeto already, but don't want the risk of caulerpa going sexual....
