1000 Gallon Build- Here we go- Lots of Pictures

Don't remember if you ever posted an initial stocking plan...

What are you going for again?

Amazing home and tank design... you have great taste!

Glad you were able to get a custom Dreambox sump, I tried but must have got them during a transition between the EU and USA distributor, as I couldn't even qet a quote for one after six weeks of emails and waiting... I wound up getting something similar made locally, by Dom in Tempe. It's just clear acrylic but basically the same design in a 60x24x20" size.

I live nearby and send you a pm. I've neglected my build thread (450g display + 125g sump = 575g) but just updated with a few photos, if you're interested:

There's been a rash of attempted illegal entries by vampires recently. I'm afraid you'll just have to be patient. Have some AB-.

Well,

after some delays - the sump finally arrived today. I meet with the installers and plumbers next Tuesday to do the final plumbing layout. Going to do a Bean Animal- 3 drains and 2 returns. Initial plan is to hook up a UV sterilizer and the skimmer. Will slowly add additional components after. 6 Radions are planned for lighting.

Gotta say - the wrapping on the coffin, errr I mean sump was fantastic. Not a single problem with it in the transit:

More layers

Finally! We have sump!

all the goodies were packed in the sump itself.

And there is my Bubble King

This sucker is big. How the hell we gonna fit it in the doors? Bring out the chainsaw- Don't worry Klaus- we will cut the walls, not the sump. :)

Christmas in September?

and meanwhile, inside- my bar is almost complete. My wife wants to paint the back cabinets dark like the tank. So does my builder- I kinda like the white:

Here is a view from behind the bar. Chandelier not my first preference but wife likes it. Goes with the rest of the house

Here is my view as I sit behind the bar serving drinks- this is what I get to see:

A view from my courtyard

Kitchen almost done. Appliances arrive next week

A view from the kitchen to the bar.

Another view:

I think the red brick ceiling came out nice. I hope you agree:

stairs complete. Just need the railing:

entry chandelier

BBQ!! Who wants to smoke some meat?

I put a chess set in. Alternating pavers and grass. Nice eye candy outside;

Driveway done:

front of the house. looking good. landscaping starts tuesday:

Wow! Looks awesome. I have to agree with the wife and builder, I would go with dark cabinets to match, but everything looks incredible!

(picks jaw up off the floor)

What kind of ceiling treatment is that in the bar area? Carved plaster?

I've already lost that battle. Cabinets are going to be painted when they do the final paint downstairs in about 2 weeks.

It's wood. Applied moulding. They mill it out, put it on the ceiling and then paint it.

Sooooooo what do you do for work? Beautiful home!

Thank you. I'm a dentist but I don't practice anymore. I started and sold a few companies which is what is paying for the home. I still work but am working for the company that bought me out. Now the only dentistry I do is charity work. Free dentistry for folks who can't afford it. Did a couple of root canals and crowns on our companies maintainance guy. Dude was in serious pain. 24 years old and was going to have 2 teeth extracted. Not on my watch! Did the whole case for free. About 5 grand worth of free dentistry for him. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Well, my future house is getting a chessboard. Best idea iv seen ever.

Cool thanks. Glad you like it. We decided not to do a pool so needed to soften the backyard somehow.

Great Work

Actions like that restore my faith in humanity. Noble work Sir. Beautiful home and great thread.

Great Build! Of both your ecosystem and your fishies. It will be interesting to see who likes their new home more? Lol
