who needs a man cave when your house looks like that?!?
Actually the bar behind the tank is my man cave. I also have a nice little courtyard off the side of the bar with a fire place. And of course there is my theater and my main man cave is in the garage with my fish room.

Try using the edge of a credit card or similar as a scraper. Less chance of scratches that way.

Yup. I save all my hotel room keys...I have 20 of them lying around and they are my go to for tough stuff.
I've had good luck with the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. The original, rectangular ones that are all white, no chemicals added.
Slightly off topic, but seeing the kitchen made me think. Would you share a few photos of the finished home interior and exterior? I know I have been looking forward to seeing the end result just as much as the tank!
Far too early to say. Yours is only a baby tank, after all. Give it at least 6-8 months to settle down into its teenage years.Socaltoaz said:Do you guys know if this will continue or is a one time cycle?

You need a Flipper. Just got one and my tank hasn't been that clean in forever. For the tougher spots, you need to scrub for a good while, but eventually works. You can get it in amazon if you can't find it locally. I used to use a mag float before. Never again! Here is a full tank shot from today:
Another issue- all the green hair algae is gone and the turbo snails have done a nice job of clean up. However- I have some really stubborn algae growth on the display panes that won't come with my magnet or with some scraping. Before I go get something more abrasive and mess up the panels by scratching them further- any clue on how to minimize or get rid of this? Will this subside with time like the green hair algae? Water parameters are all WNL.
Here is a picture- not sure if you guys can see it:
Short of fully polishing the entire pane if like to figure out a simple way to get rid of this stuff.
The dozer will not clean the algae by using once. You have to cross the algae points more times. But when the acrylic is clean and you use the dozer pads for cleaning the acrylic regularly no more algae points will grow in the futureThanks for the suggestions. I orders the dozed pads as I already have the mighty magnet. Will try that first and see how it works.
