The tank is 30" x 30" x 25" roughly. 1/2" regular glass. Has a 1" and 1.5" bulkheads in the overflow.
I checked those out Nanook, but even the smaller ones are a little more than I was looking to spend. They are awsome fans. I paid less than $10 a piece for mine. I may mount the fan in the attic and see if that helps. Maybe someday after I have everything else I want for the tank.
Phew! Another very short weekend gone. I have some more updated photos. I put some fresh water in the tank just to see some water in it and an old bulb in the reflector to put some light in it.
Here is the view with the trim up and the doors hung. You can pretty much see what the closet looked like now, except slightly wider. I used the door that was already there, just trimmed it to fit the new openings. I will have full access from the front and back this way. I have a piece of trim to attach to the bottom of the door to block out the light, but it is not painted yet. I also have a smaller piece of trim that goes on the corner, but I'm not sure if I am going to attach it or not yet. . The corner silicone looks a bit sloppy as with most glasscages tanks. I'm not sure if I want to clean it up or just cover it up. It looks good either way if you ask me. I just need some handles and it will be good to go.
I'm going to be using an Dolphin Ampmaster 3000 pump. It should be more than enough pump, but I am assuming that the head pressure from the squids and spray bar will cut that down considerably. Both bulkheads in the overflow will be used as drains. The squids will go to each corner of the tank and will someday be replaced with an OM Super Squirt. I'm going to have a spray bar at the bottom of the tank behind the rocks to help with water movement there. The third outlet will be for an above the tank 10g refuge and/or quarantine tank.
 That looks great. Have you thought about Maybe putting a piece of trim on the bottom of the door to hide the Black trim and light from shining through?
Im Lon 2: That is exactly what I am going to do. I have it cut and it being painted as we speak. I had a piece of trim cut and painted to fit over the black strip, but decided that something larger attached to the door would work better to help block out the light as you mentioned. I think I will try some of the weather strip stuff around the top door also to block out the light around the edges.
I sure the weekends felt more like weekend. I did manage to find a few hours on Sunday to do some plumbing.
I'll put a few more pics of my plumbing up this week. I got my main pump hooked up except for the SCWD's. I'm REALLY glad that I made the nice large spill tray under the tank
I started putting water in the sump and did not have the pump hooked up to go to the tank, water started overflowing from the output of the pump; Forgot about the auto top off line that is not hooked up yet and water started coming out of it; Forgot to put a temporary cap on where the SCWD's will be attached to and turned the pump on. Hey, it's only fresh water
I won't actually be hooking the skimmer up until I take the old tank down. I will be using my Genx4 pump to power it. Currently all the water movew from one end of the sump to the other through the baffles (a lot of water and a lot of noise and bubbles). The refuge area of the tank is more like a whirlpool right now. Once the skimmer is hooked up that should help by moving water from one end of the skimmer to the other.
Once the SCWD's are hooked up I will be draining it and start filling it up with RO and add some salt.
Not moving too fast on this, but from the looks of the couple of other tanks on here, I'm not doing too bad
Plumbing for the most part is done. It did not go too bad. I glued a couple of things I didn't want to be permenant, but that is what the PVC cutters are for The line on the left with go to an above tank quarantine/refuge. The middle goes to the 2 SCWD's pictured (hopefully will be replaced by an OM some day). I did mod these by drilling them out to true 1/2", but can't say I notice much of a difference in flow. The one on the right goes to a Loc-Line Spray bar that will be behind the rocks (something I did not glue and is sitting at the botom of the tank). I will be using HGB's to quiet down the overflow pipes.
Another picture of the same thing from a different view.
Here is the view of the Geo Sump. Still lacking a pump for the skimmer. I will eventually build some type of muffler for the drains if they are too noisy. For now I am just happy it is up and running. The only mod that I made to this from the earlier picture is I added a 1.5" bulkhead to the other end for the return pump.
I got my last piece of molding put on the tank and the handles. I'm not sure that I like the handle at the top of the tank and might replace it with a nob. Other than that, I am pretty happy with it.
The tank looks cloudy because I just dumped 2 50gal bags of salt in. There are also a lot of micro bubbles in the lines, because I do not have the sump filled to the correct level. I figure the bubbles help with airation, so I have left it filled where it is at.
