10g Nano FOWLR

i would advise against putting sand in the AC. I tried that in my AC 70 and it clogged the pump and burnt up the motor. I even built a guard to keep the sand out...Just put LR and some Chaeto in there and you'll be fine.

Ok then, I'll have to seen then. I was also lookin' at maybe buying an In-Tank Refugium, but I dont know how much room that would take up.

.....if you go page one page and read the bottom posts about the fish poop.....I FOUND OUT WHAT IT WAS! It's not fish poop because it was WAY to big to be fish poop. I was watching my snail and then I saw it drop this ugly chunky thing that looked like poop.....and then the hermits eat it....yuck....but not like any of u care....just lettin' u know.

Well, bad news........2 of my mystery chromis died due to the cause of ich...i think. The fish were swimming this morning and 2 of them looked like they were "salted" so I was going to keep a close eye on them. The other one that looked fine was happy as a clam. So the two with ich were swimming to the top and staying there and were breathing fast. So just recently I went in to check on them after my run and they were being snacked on my hermits. Very sad.......

Ok well if your fish has ick you need to set up a QT tank and put them in their. Then you can treat them without destroying the rest of your tank.

i would just get rid of the damsel and let your tank work it out on its own for now. Do you preform any water changes??

steve

I do water changes, yes. And a QT tank is out of the question for me. My parents would be like, why do u need another tank? So if this Damsel comes to its doom, I'll wait a while before I buy any other fish. I'll buy some inverts in between maybe.

give it back to petco...they will probably take it even though i never have bought anything from them. You should probably reconsider buying livestock from petco. Petco has had a bad rep for being unworthy of housing marine livestock because everything dies. Go to a private owner or something. They take better care of thier livestock. Yes, adding a cleaner shrimp would be wise, and a few more snails and such. they will get everything nice and clean. wait on fish for awhile, because of the ich.
