Well i could of done it today but i wanted to get my cleanup crew in there. And plus i always do corals before fish and its worked for me. Here are my parameters......0!!!! yup my last bit of nitrates are gone. I will probably add fish in about a week and a half or so. so basically not this wensday but next wensday. But in that week and a half i will be adding corals and more inverts.
Heres the plan.....
more snails and various hermits
peppermint shrimp
more zoa's
feather duster worm
some hairy shrooms
some rics
favia
thats just what i want to buy within the next week and a half
then i would add the clowns (black percula's)
and then when i save more money ....i will finish the lighting and have it more intense. Then i will add some acros at the top ogf the tank and some other various SPS,but not too much. So yea im on my way to making this little tank become my personal reef.=)

Steve

Yeah, same here....well....never mind.....I get a little help, since I don't have a job yet. I actually buy my own fish, but nothin' else that goes with the hobby.

Great start, I'm surprised no one has mentioned that your U-tube is on backwards tho. The part with the stem sticking up should be in the back ;)

It's nice to see others using these bulbs. I bought some back in the winter and still haven't got around to putting a tank together for them.

yea the polyps have came fully out when the light was on in like 30 minutes or so. yes i know the u tube is on backwards. i cut the wrong end when i was trying to shorten it from sucking up all the sand. But still works the same. Thanks for the kind words.

Frag or not to frag??? I want to frag the 12 brown button polyps i got yesterday and sort of spread them out on the left side. I want that whole side to be mostly covered in zoa's. Is it a good idea?? If yes i will be using Cyanoacrylate, super glue in short, i got from hobby town usa form doing models. heres the pic...

Enjoy

Steve

Well since I know NOTHING about fragging, I really don't have an opinion. lol, but I have a question......again.....You can use regular household superglue in a tank? Won't it screw up the water?

Cyanoacrylate, is the kind of super glue you are suppossed to use...accordding to everyone else and me. Ive used it before on my old tanks and it works. Just take the zoa polyp off the rock take the rock out that you want to put it on. See if it look right then glue it. Hold it for about 2 minutes or so but not too long becasue the coral will get to stressed. They say 5 minutes out of water is the most amount of time you can have a coral out of water but w/e. Yea it is ok for the water. Wont hurt a thing.

Steve

I fragged only 2 polyps that were connected today and put them ona center rock. After an hour or so they starte to open back up again. so all is well. Still im not to satisfied with the clean up crew. I need to go to my store and buy some more hermits for the sand. but other than that ,again, all is well
