10g nano pic intense

I've had my zoanthids out of the water for up to 2 hours while I did work on my tank. 47 different varieties and none of them were any worse for the experience.

Some people ship them in nothing more than a damp paper towel. I've received them in nothing more than a zip lock bag with not more than a few drops of water.

I didnt know that they could spend that long of a time out. Ive always only kept them out for no longer than 5 minutes. But better safe than sorry.

So you might go into corals eh?=) Zooanthids, no, they are not hard to keep. They can be kept under PC's but can really thrive under Mh's. And they are supposed to be kept with medium water flow. Overall very easy corals to keep. And one of my favorite kinds.

Yeah, but reading in the Zoanthid section about how toxic they are, that's a little freaky. I'm goin' to Marine land tomorrow (Jul.5) to see what they have. I probably won't buy any, but just get an idea of what I would like. I'm goin' to get maybe some hermits or some snails. What do Zoa's eat?

You dont need to feed them. I never have. just with the proper lighting and trace elements etc. they will thrive. Yea the toxins are a little scary but i use rubber gloves to protect me when im fragging them. what lighting do you have on your tank again?

Steve

And an update. I added 6 hermits today. So now a total of 7 snails and 11 hermits. Still i might pick up more snails. never hurts. This friday i hope to add fish or corals???? fish??? or corals??? any opinions??

Again im sorry for the bad pics....
The watchman is doing really well. he is eating and he has found a cave as shown in the second pic. he comes out occassionally but, is not used to me and darts right back into his cave when i make a sudden move. As for the zoa's, they are very small and in different variety's. I have some fire and ice then i have soem clusters of green crossettes. I will update tommorrow as i will be traveling to the tampa bay fish farm at 2 am. I will be picking up livestock with my boss and buying some for me......
