10k and 20k's.

Zak i appreciate that you post the pics for me. You are absolutly right, the tank looks a lot brighter. Can you tell me how long i have to wait to the Ushios 10k D/E and S/E and the Coralvue S/E 20k for break in. Are they more brighter, more whiter or bluer after break in. Now i have the problem of heat on the tank, my chiller are working more long to chill out the tank. I have four fans and maybe this weekend i add another one. Zak pm me your frags prices and wich ones you have ready for shipp. Im interested in some Montiporas Capricornis, i dont have any of those, are your available frags the ones you email me from your gallery. Im going to be honest with you, i have to wait few months to buy you some frags, but anyway let me know your prices and maybe i can do an exception. I accept that i am reef addict, i always thinking what i need for the tank and i noticed that i always need something. Please help :D . Have a nice day and Mery Christmas.

Ralph,

Are the VHO's still on? You can drop them. With that length of tank you would of either had to go with 3-400's 20K, 3-250 10K and VHO actinics or what you did. Since you already had 4 MH's that was your best way out. I ran just 20K XDE bulbs and I was not happy with them.

From what I have read, the CV's burn whiter. IMO you need the 2 (the 2nd and 4th bulb) to burn bluer. Like a Radium. To me, the XDE was dim. I am not familiar with the 250 Radium but in this case with your 10Ks the dimmer and bluer 2 should help. Leave the VHO's for maintainance.

BTW, your tank looks nice.

I know I was just there this week and just came back yesterday and saw some incredible elk horns when I was there vert close to shore. I must say that they are huge and are very nice looking. I also was shown a nice tank when I was there that had nothing but local corals in it. I was promissed a frag of this coral and was looking to find out its requirments. In any case it sure is a rare coral in the hobby as i can't find anyone with it except him.
Michael
