Everything looks really great Pascal! I love the final rock stack - nice shape and plenty of room for corals. And you frag tank system looks pro!

Wow man!!! Looks great love to check it out sometime. Prop system looks well thought out.

Thanks for the kind words, you are welcome anytime you need a break!

Thanks! I worked hard on the stack. There are tons of hiding spaces and crevices for the fish to retreat to. The frag tank was a best guess based on reading here and looking at other peoples setups. Hopefully it works out.

I'm pretty worried about algae maintenance in the frag tanks.

everything is looking really good.
One suggestion (if I may): fatten up that OS Tang. Feed the heck outta it.

Suggestion is well taken. I was just talking to Mike the other day that I though the Orange Shoulder was looking pretty thin. I'll move him up to daily feedings instead of every other day.

I probably under feed out of paranoia

Very Nice!-yes the frag tank is looking wicked professional-woodwork also top notch-Love the design of the stand.

decided to move over to halides and release the T5s to the old 72 tank for LPS only.

thanks to Jay I have (2) 250 Phoenix 14Ks on IceCap E-Ballasts.

I wanted the lights up fast, so I bolted up a track and let them hang. The track works nice and offers some nice flexibility, unfortunately it looks awful.

Plan is to move the two supports from the ceiling towards the center, then frame the track.

for supplementation there will be a 48" reefbrite. to mount this there is going to be an _attempt_ to have two curved pieces at the end of the boxed rail which will be able to support the reefbrite in the front, and possibly a second in the back down the road.

first the current eye-sore:

and some picks of frags hanging out till they have room:

[no processing at all - just how they look under the halides with one screen in place]

screens for acclimation, lowes special, really cheap and break apart so you have two screens instead of a slider :)

making of the first outer arch to support the reefbrite:

usually I plan everything to a T, this time I'm building to a mental picture with some measurements thrown in. I don't even have the reefbrite strip yet, so who knows, may this will all be practice in the end :)

not an eye soar at all, i think it looks clean, gives the open feel, very nice! now if you take off that black upper trim you be all set :P

i usually look at pictures before i read and was wondering what the heck was that tool your using, i see what it does not and i think i want one!! lol

that cracked tank would have been a real downer for me but you quickly fix that right away. also what k bulb is on the frag tank?

Looks awesome.Should be pretty interesting to see how the arched light bracket comes together.I was looking at one of those circular router guides a few years ago.I'm still using a jigsaw and cleaning the edge with the router.Someday,lol.

Amazing build,so well thought out.Stuffs colored up nicely.

Thanks ")

yeah, taking the lights off and going to the floating canopy is making the top trim stand out, oh well, someday :)

Not sure what bulbs I had in at the time, sorry. I played around quite a bit before settling on bulbs and these pictures are old.

thanks. The floating canopy is a very simple design, two 3" trim pieces along the front rail (about an inch out) to cover it, and the two arches at the end biscuited on. the reefbrite LED strip will sit about even with the halide, attached the end of the arch.

off course, that is if it goes to plan!

The circle/oval jug is fantastic. The initial design was for a different radius on the inside, unfortunately the Jig couldn't do it - I went with what it could do :)

NEW PICS PASCAL! I know you've been sitting around your house doing nothing for the past month!!:celeb1: haha. Lets see something new.

That ellipse cutter is cool! Looking great, Pascal!
