This is an aquarium in a pet store and thought I share here some info to help those who are planning big aquarium. I learned few things and will try to cover as much as I can. Not long ago I was looking for some info and details about stand and did not find what I was looking for as far as using I Beams. This aquarium will be framed with stone wall and is
1200 gallon that is made by RC sponsor Aquarium Obsessed

I got it from them because of my buddy (Dr. Sanjay) who got his from them and I'm sure many others got their tanks from them because of Sanjay's thread about his 500 gallon tank.

just a note thatt AO has a forum in RC if you want to check them out AO

nice people to deal with and they make quality aquariums and stand behind their product.

the aquarium is 120x60x36

and here is a thread in AO forum

now lets start with some pictures..

this is the wall where the aquarium will be in.

Me started cutting the wall. My partner was there taking pictures and he took the other side down.

cutting metal was not easy but we took the wall down in less than 3 hours.

After Sanjay's stand we decided to do the same way but had few changes in mind. I knew of a welder in Jersey Shore, Pa area who is good so I stopped by his shop and he had a shop stand (holding the top of the aquarium) and I told him that I want something semilar with few changes. I will have more pictures of details later on. Some might ask the cost of this stand that is made out of 6" I Beam .. With gas, trailer rental since mine could not handle that much load, sandblasting, prime, painting ended up to about $2000.

stand sitting outside ready to be picked up..You see the bottom of the legs has a metal plate which is a good idea (just in case if you built one).

now the stand is at another place where it will be sandblasted, primed and painted black. Big forklift.. you should see the back of my Jeep go up when the forklift picked the stand up. This stand is about 2000LBS.

The tank took over 8 weeks to get to us. The stand 2 weeks. fishing stand a week.

I'm lefting the stand so we can put it on wheels

I supported the wheels so they can handle the stand on the top. I put piece of wook on the top.
