As a South African an passionate reefer, our country has laws and regulations restricting imports and exports. The editing of the post to hide the supplier could be construed as trying to hide something.

I have no issues if the Kingi was caught and shipped legally. However as a South African it is my duty to report to our authorities any out of the norm or possible illegal activities. Not saying or implying that there are any involved here.

It would be great if you guys could set the record straight and post or PM me the import documents.

It would be extremely embarrassing to our country and international importers should this be found to be illegal from a South African side and importers were lead to believe it is legal.

Should all be in order then their is nothing to hide.

As I said before PM me and assist.

Hi guys. I just wanted to let all know that I did not collect this one. I know who did though, it was the regular collector who got it in a MPA. I can't take credit for such a little beaut. I would like to exclude myself from any negative implications until I get my own baby :)

Rudi if it is not you then please set the record straight for all and tell us who it was.

If you guys are catching and exporting illegally then the importers need to know. If they are OK with that then they are part of the illegal trade.
If they don't know then you guys are letting the SA community down.

If you guys have legit permits then there is of course no issue and you guys can easily set the record straight .

No worries humaguy. This is not going to go away. I will ask Arie and every one I have to to get an answer to ensure that the transaction was above board. You can choose to please assist, and send copies of the emails you received. Or be unhelpful. It is all about credibility. You choose.

As I said thread is copied and posts recorded.

Sadly, there has not been much of a change at this point but he is a great fish.
He eats everything, is an active swimmer, and quite bold. Very happy to have a healthy fish for now.
There is a lot of traffic in their 125qt and it is too small for them begin with.
In early June the fish in the 250qt and some from the 125qt are going in the dt.
Then the geni trio will be moved into the 250 and will hopefully have it to themselves.
I am crossing my fingers that when they are alone in there and have the time to slow down and notice each other, things will change.
I will hopefully add another trio at some point.
Need to take some pics and will post soon...

Very interesting. I had the DD picture saved and I only noticed maybe more black markings on the fish, and even that is a judgement call. Hopefully you see some change once he is moved.

In the geni? that is an older pic, I will post some new ones, agree very little, if any change...will be interesting to post a new pic next to the older ones...hope when they are alone in 250 things will change...

Hey Huma-
Your little juvie navarchus looks fantastic and still with full juvie coloration!
I picked up a juvenile blueface about a month ago. Sadly, it was number two because the previous juvenile had some injuries that i was not able to see while in the LFS. This lil guy seems to also have had some nicks on his flanks, which i feel safe in saying, have fully heeled and the fish is doing well.
Was wondering if you knew of a problem with juvenile P. Xanthometopon and collection and transport to retail? They all seem to have a rough go with it.

The Majestic i picked up months back has been growing by the day! Loves those NLS pellets!
As usual, the pics on the previous page are gorgeous. Especially the Conspic! I love that fish!!

Thanks, good to see you, been a while! I have not had a blueface in years but she lived to be around 15 when i lost her!
Toss up a pic of your navarchus, would love to see her...I am curious to see what mine is going to do...she is really making me wait for the change!
the conspic is great, would love to pair her up!

the new colins hanging with the navarchus....
the small conspic went after her which surprised the heck out of me...

Well just let me know if that conspic needs a new home ;)

The fish are all looking great, Ted!
