130 X 36 x 36 inbound...any suggestions?

Curious what they would do to condition them. Hyperbaric chamber! I have wondered if they bring them to the surface slowly in holding cages to help them equalize. A cage tied to a bouy that you raise 20 feet an hour or something like that.

they are learning to eat frozen foods...

What size did you get them at? How long ago?

Thanks for all your help when our two were in quarantine.

Made it through well, but now the male lost his red tail, but they both have yellow fins and yellow tails... guess they'll be confused until they're 5-6" or so...

they were around 2.5 inches, I think it will be 3 years this summer...might be 2, lol, I forget, but it is in here somewhere! I will check my notes later..

Hey kids,

I was just rereading the last few pages, lol, clearly, I should not try and post on rc using my phone...sorry for the gibberish...
been crazy busy but will try and get some pics of the qts up this weekend and the dt the following...I have a couple weeks off mid-march and will give some solid updates then...I was thinking about maybe removing the crosshatch trigs and maybe a clarion or 2, not sure, we'll see...I almost had a beautiful tigerpyge yesterday but she didn't make it after her flight from Asia, huge bummer, hopefully another is coming soon...the pep and narc will be here eventually...
The gp are great and just about 1 year old...
Love the gyres and highly recommend...

I hope you are all well,

TK

That's too bad! What a loss :thumbdown

Hey Ted,

I'm curious...

What has been the favorite fish you have ever kept regardless of price?

Thanks,
-Peter

Nice new pics! 1 yr already wow. Do you have any experience with centropyge fisheri? If so, any aggression issues? (ie argi...)

Hey Peter,

If talking about angels- clarion, bandits, conspic, and the gp, they are extraordinarily curious, personable, and seem to actually enjoy interacting with people...bandits seek out divers to interact with...my old cortez was pretty special too, I watched her teach a baby emp and baby queen to "clean" my huge golden heart trigger, among some other cool things...
If I had to pick one it would be the gp but there is a huge caveat...I feel like these fish are my kids (and Blondie) so there is a special attachment. These fish have zero fear of me...I an do anything and they just come closer to get a better view. Had I not been a quasi part of the Gp Project, I would probably pick my Bandits, followed very closely by conspic and clarion...
I am very curious to see how the narc is as I have heard many cool things about them...my fingers are crossed for the pep but my last one, lol, seemed to be a pretty slow and no so bright fish:crazy1:... I have heard that from a few others...
I love trigs, esp Rhinecantus and Fuscus, they are truly dog-like, I had an aculeatus for almost 15 years that used to let me pet him and pick him up and he loved to eat pizza crusts and milk bone dog biscuits....

In terms of beauty...a wild baby clarion is truly spectacular and is tough to beat...

My apologies for being so long winded...

Ted

Ime, pretty mellow fish...if anything, she will probably be pushed around but she will not be doing the pushing...

Thanks for all the info Ted :)

I do think I'll be trying a Bandit pretty soon. Was planning on quarantining and then testing him out in a large frag tank to see how he does around corals.

What temp do you run your tank at?

Ours runs at 78-79 and our Crosshatches seem fine. Thinking it might be a bit warm for Bandits...

I am much cooler...closer to 72 and they go below 70 often...there are no heaters on any of the tanks..

Wow that's pretty chilly, but you do have lots of deep water species.

yeah, and it seems to be okay over, although it does affect the breeding interactions of some of the fish, the interrupta for sure need warmer water for that....
