130 X 36 x 36 inbound...any suggestions?

Two questions for you sir, how do you like the gyres you purchased? Secondly where did you get the acclimation boxes from that you put your babies in when you got them from Karen? I really like the bigger one that I saw in the pictures

I have gotten many emails about Larry's Reef Frenzy foods and fish getting bloat again...

Here is my experience...

I stopped feeding it to the Gp and centropyge angels , BOTH qt, because it was causing bloat...others have reported quite severe cases..

I decided to try it again to see what happens, so, I fed Larry's Reef Frenzy this past wed to the Gp. This was the first time in many months I fed it to them. It was only a tiny amount mixed in with their other food...
yesterday the largest Gp had long, white stringy poop, and I saw bubbles upon release...ugh...
Done...NEVER going in the Gp tank again....may try the same thing with the 125 tomorrow and will let you know what happens...but, be careful...!

So, I stopped feeding Larry's Reef Frenzy to the GP tank and the 125 qt tank permanently or until it is centropyge free...
The Cocos Lemon and Jocs in the dt have stringy white poop and I absolutely believe that it is also caused by Larry's Reef Frenzy...

After much speculation and lab testing, the reason LRF gives the Gp bloat is unknown...but I suspect the underlying cause will be the same with all the fish that are affected by it...

Careful...

Wow, I am glad to know I am not the only one having this experience with the LRF food. I was sent 6 packs of the Reef Frenzy instead of the normal Fish Frenzy I always order. My pair of Semifaciatus, Potter's Angel, Flame Angel, and Pair of Joculators, and a small Bandit are all currently suffering from varying degrees of bloat with stringy greyish white poop. These are all fish that I have had for a couple of years and were thoroughly QT'ed way back when. I had no idea this was an issue until your post. I thought my fish were dealing with intestinal parasites...

Your fish and tank look great BTW.

Stop feeding it as all the blends yield the same result!!

Thanks, please let me know how they do...

Ok, a question and a comment.

Is it a recent batch, or has this been the case for a long time?

I pretty much feed LRS foods explicitly to my fowlr, which has three venustus and an eibli and have never noticed the bloat or white stringy feces. I also feed it to my QT which has the mutlibar and a coral beauty and have not experienced any of those issues either.

What gives?

If your not feeding LRS foods, what are you feeding?

Not a recent thing, it was discovered with the baby Gp..I mentioned it a few times...it really only affected me twice with them and not when it was first noticed...others reported it daily and stopped feeding it...
I noticed that many of my centropyge angels had white stringy poop, with bubbles during release, and they were totally healthy...I stopped feeding Larry's Reef Frenzy and the white stringy poop went away...

It doesn't seem to affect all fish and the severity seems to differ between fish...maybe it has something to do with the age of the fish?? I though I might be okay and the gp would be okay at this point, but that wasn't the case

I still feed it to the dt and large trigs and angels...plus spir brin, plankton, fresh seafood...

I just will not feed it to the GP or any centropyge angel.s..

I'll have to watch my angels more closely than usual, but I haven't noticed the stringy poop or bubbles.

Thanks for the info, bummer for Larry. Strange since it was his food that go the male GP to eat if I remember correctly. Any complaints from the adult GP out in Hawaii?

Well this won't help LRF out... The million dollar question like Matt asked what are you feeding the kids now?
