What kind of slab are you on?
What kind of slab are you on?
Many of the lights disco, looks like a disco ball is spinning or looks like theater spot lights. trying to light the tank is a real issue, its vary deep, Im 36" and its about the limit on the Mitras, The real thing is if you go with sub par lighting, like the idea to use HD shop lights you will have the wrong par, and that will give you hair algae and red algae, once it is set up you can borrow my lights and see if they would work for you. Canons will work but you would need sooooo many of them..... you also could go to 1000w MH that would penetrate, the 400w don't have the power to realty punch 60" If plasma is an option that would be the best, not sure who makes them anymore but I did the research on them long ago, but the company stopped making them. they are true sunlight wave, and they have the punch to get it done, and they are cheap to operate, I believe one 400 in a light deflector will do the entire tank, much better than leds, and with a light tube no heat
That sucked.... I need a smaller tank anyway, I will show you when you get here...Well I have people coming for a large amount of equipment tomorrow morning, they should load all the equipment and be done in a few hours, but first they have to pay for it all, so that will take time..... its more than a full truck load and the bus will be full also. so if they are done in one day I will let you know.
No smaller sump... not tank... the 36X36x72 wont fit in the fish room. I will make one next week
15 sounds about right, but LED is coming down and the technology is getting better so that should be the last purchase after the tank is filled and tested running,,,,, may be quite a while....
at least your realistic, this is the first step toward addiction...
I still have to build a controller, I made one to control the pump and valves but I need one to control control all the other systems.
The latest tank is 580 gal 1000 total volume of water it a large cube 36X36X60
