150G Build By PMG

Ya I need to stop by and check out your tank for sure. I was planning to use the LEDs for dawn/dusk as well, I'm planning a 48" x 36" so I may be able to get away with one. I sent you a PM about the FTW. haha

Dropped by Paul's house the other day to have him check my Tunze pump, and have to say I am in the wrong hobby. Either that or just need to buy a different house (something that I can raise some chickens at, or at least store a TRACTOR :) ). Great clean setup, will have to stop out again to check out the progress.

LOL, you don't want chickens man, they stink worse than fish poo.

This tank is getting close to (2) years old now, and I just realized I haven't made an update in almost (8) months.

Here are a few progression shots from over the last (2) years.

the rock work is nicely done. i really like the picture with the darkness and the blue/white lights with the bright yellow tang

I have seen this tank in person and the pictures do not do justice to this tank. It does show some impressive growth. Gorgeous tank Paul.

Thanks Guys!

-where did the big birdsnest go that was on the right hand side?
Shortly after I changed the flow pattern in the tank back in March the birdsnest started to develop algae on the tips and slowly disappeared. It was one of my favorite corals. Since then I have added another one to a different tank.

sad to hear, i have a mini frag of it from Vu and i love it. it hasn't grown very quickly but i believe its because its not encrusted fully. Your tank is amazing though. Thanks again for the help on friday

Not much to update with this tank. The tank has been in a pretty serious funk the last 9 months or so, and hasn't been much to look at. All my fish, clams and LPS are doing just fine. The SPS however has took a turn for the worse for some unknown reason. I still haven't found anything wrong (at least that I can test for).
It happens I guess.

On the plus side, all my inhabitants will be getting a new home soon.
Here's a sneak peek.

My design concept. I'm still debating on adding the frag system now. I have everything to set it up, but I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle at the moment. A lot of the decision will be based on if I decide to keep my current tank as a FOWLR, or sell it off. Water volume and humidity is a concern for me in the basement, and limits how many gallons I keep with out issues to the house itself.

Great dimensions! That's going to be one sweet looking setup.

Are you going with 2x250w halides over this? Did you decide on the height for the stand? I've been recently contemplating building a taller one for better visual. Would be interested to hear your input since you're so good with woodworking.
