150watt bulbs

The stock crappy bulbs that came w/ my Sunpod started dimming out after about 5 months brand new so I'm looking for replacements.

They were 150w 14K bulbs and wanted to know what do you guys think I should put in there and brand. Or if anyone has any spare ones =)

Also, anyplace local where the prices are good for the bulbs or online?

Exotic wants $79 each for some XM 150w 20K and I found some online for only $58, yikes.

i bought my phoenix 14k DE 150mh bulbs from a fellow reefer named lanxang a couple months ago. he is really cool to work with and the price is good too. send him a pm.

I recently purchased a Radium 150w 20k bulb from Marine Depot to get a more intense look out of my Sunpod. After about a week it began flickering. I put the old 14k bulb back to see if it was the ballast and it has been solid for a week now. I will put the 20k bulb back in and see what happens.

lanxang told me he was down to his last box a month ago. he doesn't plan to sell them in the future....booo....maybe if there is enough demand??? i have 2 x 150 watt fixtures that only use phoenix 14k. nice colors and good growth. good luck!

I have looked and cannot find the Phoenix 150W anywhere on sanjays site.

Im currently running both a Phoenix 14K on my 29 thats right next to my 58 which has a 150 XM 15K. they both look very good but colorwise and growth wise i would recommend the Pheonix. (*got my XM bulb for free only reason i dont have a Pheonix on my 58.)
