180 Achilles/SPS focused tank

What kind of bit did you use? And this doesn't affect the structural integrity of the tank?

John did everything..
As far as the integrity, if I were you talk to John and ask him. I think you would have no problems. It also depends how thick your acrylic is. On mine I have 1" acrylic every where, except the sides which is 3/4".

He can be hard to get a hold of .....

With 3/4" and the size of your tank, you should be ok with drilling a few holes.

Here's some rockscaping I did tonight. The mat the rock is on is the exact dimensions inside the tank. Tell me what you think.

HONEST opinions. If it looks like doggy poo, tell me, just state what you would fix please :)

Consider drilling it and placing acrylic rods. Either way I would bond them together with epoxy. The design looks great. Only one thought (and it might not be possible), you might consider adding flat ledges that jet out from the towers. This provides great place to put frags.

I like the second one better, but thats just me. Just make sure you have enough room to scape/clean. There is one rock that looks pretty close to the glass.

Okay, got my Novus kit in and tested it out on the scratches.

HOLY CRAP!

Easy peasy, gone just like that. This stuff is magic in a bottle. Anyone thats got Acrylic, this stuff is your best friend, so easy to use, not that much elbow grease, especially if you get the buff pad for drill. Works great!

Tank looks brand new again :)

Is that the stuff that comes in 3 bottles ? Where your scratches inside or out side ? Glad it worked out for ya :)

I really like your tank, nice clean look! And that sump..! As far as the rock work goes, i find myself liking the right side better than the left. Looks more natural. Maybe try making that archway a little lower, to give your future sps some room to grow and fill the void. Really great looking rock by the way, and cool pics of the acid bath. It always reminds me of something off Breaking Bad when I see it..

Thank you! Yes my sump is amazing. I thought alot about how I wanted it designed :)

Yea the acid bath was cool looking to me as well. Had to capture that moment on film lol

I am also trying to remove scratches from my tank. Do you mind answering a few questions? Did you get Novus three steps kit? What kind of buff pad did you use? you used buff pad for all three steps? Thanks.

Don't mind at all. Yes I got the Novus 3 step kit. The buff pads were wool and they were Novus specific, found them on Amazon. No I did not use buff pad for all three steps. Just step 2 really. You don't have to at all, just takes abit more elbow grease, but not bad at all.
