Some updates;
- Food is made, the house stinks like fish.
- We are well under budget so far, which is very nice.
- Vlamingi will probably come home with us in two weeks
- I am trying out SPS again.
The food, all 49.5 bags are chilling out (literally) in the freezer right now. Half of it is already ear marked for other people, some for locals, and some to be shipped out.
We priced everything all together and our total cost to date, including the livestock is just over 1K. $430 for the tank/silicone, $120 wood for the stand, $180 for the electrical, and I've spent $400 on livegoods (rock, fish, sand). The plan is to finish the tank and get everything all up and running for under 2K.
We were at a local reef meet yesterday, and I traded a couple bags of my homemade food for a pair of SPS frags to try out. I know its early, but I have to know if my SPS problem from my 28g long carried over on something, a clam, or with a fish perhaps. I hope it does not.
Since my imperator angel is still doing amazingly well, I wanted to start officially documenting its growth, and eventual change from juvi colours to its final adult pattern.

Some old photos;
This one is from the mid-point in the build of our old 230g in-wall system. It divided our dining room and kitchen in our quaint little house from the 50s.
My stupidly full 24g cube tank, that I regret ever selling. I would take rampaging GHA over constantly dead SPS any day. Looking back, I didn't know how good I had it.
