180 gal - rebuild thread

I got it from itzme a while ago. I wish I could get my hands on 2 more. If I come across more I'll be sure and let you know.

Yeah, that skimmer is a little on the large size. With the movement of the needle wheel sequence pumps. I am sure it will become a dwarf in no time.
 
serpentman had a cool idea on his drums. He plumbed a bulkead or uniseal both top, and bottom of the container. He put a pc of clear tube between the 2 fittings to see what the water level is inside.

Yeah that is cool. When we install them in hydraulic tanks we call them "sight gauges" .

Here's one I found online that is on a fuel tank to help others visualize what you described.

You could mark the tubing with a Sharpie to indicate how many gallons are in there.

I can only get the smaller 15g barrels now but they are convenient, see-through and have a handle on top in case you need to move it. You can move them but they are pretty heavy if they are full. I can get a few at a time for $15 ea.

They look like this but only have one handle.
