1800 Gallon Reef .... Houston, Tx

Love the progress and that took some serious discipline to concentrate on that arch. I would've been like, "Man this blank will get finished tomorrow. Its 1800 time."

With the arch being the focal point of the rock stack, I wanted to try to get it done first. After finishing it I decided to go ahead and finish the rest of the rock work.
Also we are on a tight deadline now. The owner wanted to get everything cycling ASAP.

Here you go guys and gals. Happy 4th!

Sump plumbed and running!

What is behind the aquarium is getting more impressive by the day.

And another awesome clip I got of a Paladarium we set up with a panther chameleon. Happened to catch him getting a drink of water during the rainfall.

Thx guys. I have never used a chiller so am unfamiliar with them.

Dave.M

From what I can tell, that chiller has been dismantled and they removed the condencer a d remote located it. The condencer is the outside portion of like your home AC that puts off heat. If you don't locate it somewhere else or vent it, then the heat it removes from the tank, it puts back in the room and then some.

By remotely locating it, it puts the heat off somewhere where it won't effect the tank/house.

That's my take on it. Maybe aquadave can confirm that or elaborate on it??

Aquadave,
I saw where the pump attaches to the symp there seemed to be a little water on the ground. Did y'all have a leak, or was it just a loose connection? (Or a spill)
Just curious.

It was there from adjusting the TU ball valve. When I loosened it up a little water leak on the floor. Wanted to make it look pretty for you guys.

Amazing set up and everything is so clean! I noticed that the return pump seems to be really close to the wall. Any concern with the pump not getting enough room to ventilate?

It is a little over
1.5 inches from the wall. It should be plenty of space to move air through the motor housing. There will be a lot more added to the room so we have to keep it clean and tight. Still have QT system and water change system to add.
