180g in bedroom????

affan- very Exotic! :) Anyone think that a tank evaporating 2-3 gallons in a bedroom is a little to much as far as humidity goes??

I had a 77 in my bedroom years ago. I had several other tanks in the house and the bedroom tank always seemed to be the one that got neglected. Other than sleeping, I was really never in the room to enjoy it. I ended up selling it. I like my tank in the living room, where it is the center of attraction and it's where I spend most of my time. There were moisture issues. Used to get mildew on the ceiling where it met the outside walls. Of course, I live in Louisiana where it is always too humid anyway.

CoralFiend- thanks 4 the info. :) I just really worried that the humidity might be to much to handle and sleep at night. I would hate to set up this size tank then later decide its not going to work.

i have a 29 with 10 gallon sump in my bedroom. when i leave my door closed all day when im at work it gets kind of humid in my room.

im used to the noise though now

I have a 135 in my bedroom. I'm a student so I tend to spend the most time in there. Nice break from looking at books all day.
I'm losing about 2g a day evaporation don't notice the humidity. Also got mine soundproofed so can sleep with it on. Not too much noisier than a decent sized fan. :)
