The rear on the E92 is pure sexiness.....

I love this styled 3-series. Love the rear lights, but that bumper will have to grow on me. Is that how the production bumper will look? Looks a bit ricey to me in the pic. I wish they would push that dual exhaust out to the edges more, ala AMG-style...then, it would have a perfect butt.

Kane, are you going to med school?

I couldn't see your posts earlier so i just saw this one
I hope to eventually, ive just gotta get this chemistry thing down. I have no problem with biology but chemistry a bit of a struggle.

Best of Luck to you. O-Chem is tough. Took me a semester and a half to figure out. Do you have to take P-chem? I still don't understand it! :p

Thanks, I have a big bundle of stuff on my desk, I have an assignment to be in on the 28th and i havent even started it. This week is going to be dedicated to just doing that so no more RC for the next 7 days :(

Geez, all this talk about BMWs is making me sick! I've work for BMW for 13yrs and I personally think they are junk! I've owned 4! BTW an e63 is not a 7series! The new cars are so over engineered its ridiculous. The e39 m5 is a great car until the carbon problems show its ugly head or your vanos goes out then your looking at repair bills that are more than the car is worth. The new m3? who the hell would pay $70k plus for a 3er? Ours are sitting on the lot.

I have a 2nd email account for all my *junk* mail. My RC notifications go there. I get at least a hundred a day! I guess I should just turn off notification :p

Not me :) It is nice too look at, though. For purchase, I've got too many options in that price range

Thats an ignorant statement. First off, dealers arent supposed to sell their M3s yet lol. So THATS why its still on the lot. We have 3 in the rear of the dealership which are already sold. But maybe it has to do with how our dealership is ran in a higher end part of the nation as opposed to.... well... Georgia.

$70k+ for a 3er? I dont know where youre getting that from. One, its not even in the 3 series realm, its in the M realm. Two, they start out at about $60k (A hair under actually). So if you compare the E92 M3 to the E46 M3, they are roughly the same price, and you get almost 100 hp more. So really, how is that NOT a good deal?

As for the 7 not being an E63, youre right, its the new 6. The 7 is an E65 WHOOPS. I threw out 10 different generations, I got one wrong, big deal.

As for the vanos going bad on an M5, it is not more than the car is worth. The day I see a $30,000 vanos repair RO will be the first lol. Ive seen many many M5s in my day. A few techs actually have them at the dealership. They require regular maintenance, which every car does. You would have Vanos problems with every car, assuming they were advanced enough to have VANOS.

Nice broad ignorant statement though

I love the E30 10x more than the newer E46 lol. I think we can blame this whole thread on Terry owning a Mercedes =) lol

I've had a few e30s, one a built a stroker 2.7l with full suspension mod that I autocrossed quite a few times abeat e36 m3s on a regular basis (on the autox track). I've seen a number of e39 m5 come in needing both vanos and the ROs bill totaling will over the $12k mark, thats a lot of dough when I know people that have bought the car in the $20-22 range and they need repair bills that are half of what that paid for the car and the milage is under 85k. I still like BMWs, only the older models. I think the e46 is the last good model along with the e39 6cyl. I personly know 2 people that have sold their e39 m5 to buy the cts v which has a much stronger power plant than the m5. Let me ask you something, Have you ever built an engine? How long have you been a parts guy?

Dude, Joe, didn't we just talk about not bashing others? That's not a nice thing to say. I'm sure there are good and bad parts in every state.

I'm OK with you justifying your love for BMW's, but please don't talk like that - at least not on this thread.

I was just making a point by saying that current BMW's are ugly - Namely, it's often times best to keep negative comments to yourself, as you don't know who your comments are affecting. I'm sure that there are some diehard BMW followers who were stung by my comments.

I know we are all passionate about many things in life, and it's great to show your compassion for those things you love, but you really need to be careful with your choice of words when you show your love for a product by bashing other lines ;)

Joe, I will *allow* you to take back that statement and think harder about how this whole car talk came about before I point out to you and everyone else how this car talk all started
