2 New Pairs :)

Wow cmon snorvich, so the 8 gal nano they are in together also living with my mantis shrimp isn't OK?

Joking aside yes they are for breeding and in separate qt tanks :)

For any new people reading I do not advise mixing clown species or adding more than 2 of 1 species. As it will almost certainly result in lots of death..

I have actually been able to keep more than two clowns in my tanks as long as there was no host anemone. As soon as the anemone was added, watch out .....

Cool but that was a disclaimer to new people as the general rule is no more than 2 of a single species or not to MOX multi species and in rare cases it works for a bit. But this thread isn't a discussion about keeping more than 2 clowns to let's end it here please.

When you post a picture of blackfoots's can you put what species they are also because I have never heard of them

A. nigripes are very aggressive clowns. Unless you have a huge tanks (even this will not ensure success), this is unlikely to last. I would recommend against this, especially with this species. Your expensive snowflakes will be toasted before too long, around the time the Nigripes mature. Highly recommend you remove one of the pairs.

Sorry guys. Crappy phone pics of the snowflakes. Sold my canon to fund fish relayed stuff lol.

Going to try and get pics of the blackfoot pair tonight. The smaller male doesn't look very happy. He is mostly laying on his side in a piece of pvc, breathing i pretty steady so hopefully this is just him being stressed out and not brook. I don't see any signs of disease atm. I have CP to treat them with but want to wait to see if his behavior changes any bit.

Like I said once this isn't a thread on the discussion of keeping more than two clowns together or more than 1 species. Please keep your comments to yourself!

Thanks its a secret :) $80 for the pair hehehe

Also not a good pic but here are the two lover birds hiding in they're PVC. Both have eaten which is good but the males behavior still is odd so I might begin cp tomorrow..

Nice on both... Looks like you got them for a good deal.

Why do they call them blackfoot's? Just asking because they do not look like they have the markings.
