Rainy day, so time to post a few pics..

It's been two years since I went barebottom, and I'm still lovin' it! Growth and colors are amazing. Can't keep xenia or echinophyllia though....

Took about 2 years for the Imperator
to get adult colors---

Your corals are spectacular Doc.

If you want to try some more LPS, add a big fishie, it really helps. :D

Thanks folks...

Steve, I've got a bunch of big fat fish and feed by the pound--I think the "temporary" suspended food/fish poo adds to SPS growth and color; seems like certain LPS and softies require higher levels of nutrients on a constant basis. I have no trouble keeping faviids, fungia, sarco's and even an echinopora--it's Xenia, echinophyllia and certain polyps that won't make it in a "low nutrient" environment---at least that's my take on it.

John,

The tank looks awesome.

I went barebottom in my old 75g last summer and the SPS seemed to thrive afterwards. I decided to go barebottom in my new 40g breeder too! Awesome!
