$20 SPS LED bulb for nano tanks, at Home Depot!

I think they're all better than they were because of tighter handling procedures, or natural causes. "Hardy" isn't a word I'd use but they aren't "doomed from the get-go" the way they used to be. I believe that the same was happening with elegance coral, and it is now considered to be at least maintainable.

I remember reading an article about exactly this... they think it was due to shipping procedures that would damage the coral irreparably.

I love seeing "cost savings findings". Sometimes I see thing ps labeled for the hobby have their price jacked up 200% just to have a hobby brand on it. Can find the same thing in the plumbing or lighting section (or kitchen, housewares, etc) section of HD for much less.

We have a Lowes in town and they have the same bulbs...I'm heading there this morning after reading this thread. Thanks! I desperately need a high quality fuge light.

Here's mine on a 5 gallon bucket. LOL

I'm in the second stage of hyposalinity adaptation experiments and I didn't want the expense of a second system.

Bucket-$5 at wal-mart
Power filter-$4.50 at local thrift store
Light-$19.58 ebay

Enjoy.

thats great man lolol

I'm looking into cheap lighting over a 20L qt tank. I was thinking t5's would be the sensible choice but after setting that these cheap leds can sustain coral growth after long periods of times, my search may have broadened.
