I set tup so he back of that wall is removeable. And you thought you were going to catch me on that one

Naw...I think I am not seeing it as it really is. It appears that the wire is threaded through a hole in the sheet rock but perhaps it is a slot or some other design.

No you are right. I cut the plugs off and thread them through the holes in the wall. Putting new plugs on is no biggie if I need to.

My goal was that everything would be clean and professional looking. All hard wired.

That's very "Steve Weast" of you! It really does make for a clean install. BTW, on the Neptune units, if you blow a fuse, you have to take them apart to replace it. I am thinking about installing button circuit breakers on mine.

Well, just open them up, remove the fuse, drill a hole in the case, and solder the breaker connections to the fuse connectors. In a nutshell that is. Not too hard to do. Curt at Neptune told me that they plan on spec'ing them with breakers in the future. (After I had a fit on the phione about it) :D He's a good guy. I just find some design issues that are perplexing with the Neptune system.

Ok for all you Junkies and those that have waited so long......

The plumbing begins

Thank you all for the kind words.

here is where I got them in black

http://www.savko.com/PartList.asp?pgid=3&ptid=13&pid=88

WORD OF CAUTION WITH SAVKO ONLINE!!!!!!!!!! I had bought a bunch of things from them online. A few weeks ago I get a call from one of my credit cards telling me that they had some funny charges they wanted to confirm with me. Turns out I got $12K in unauthorized charges to my credit card from a bunch of places. They cancelled it inmediately and sent me another new one. A few weeks after that I get a letter from Savko saying their site had been hacked into and they stole all the names, CC numbers, etc. in their data base. They also say in their site they do not keep any CC info. So much for that! I will never order from them "online" again. Actually, for that matter, I am making a habit to call places now if I can help it. Even then there are real risks. I don't know that some of the online places are as aggressive about information and site security as some of the bigger places are.

Armando, it sucks when stuff like that happens, but it really doesn't matter if it's online or a local pos transaction. It can, and probably will, happen to just about anyone. We had a card number stolen last year from a purchase made at a local retailer (part of a national chain). About $4k in charges went through in California, Korea, and Vancouver on a single day. The bank called, suspecting fraudulent activity, and cancelled the card immediately.

As long as you're not liable for the fraudulent charges, it's just a minor inconvenience. Nothing to make me change my shopping habits.

Joe, your setup is looking awesome. I love the outlet you put on the bottom of the tank. That's definitely the one place where flow is lacking in my setup. Looking forward to seeing it soon!

Yeah I only do business with SAVKO over the phone. His site doesn't look very secure anyway.

I was going to warn about getting non-PVC from them and other suppliers. Sometimes they stock items they think are PVC and are actually ABS or some blend. I got "flexible" PVC from one supplier that actually wasn't PVC and didn't glue up. I also got bulkheads that were actually ABS...that's why I call when I order plumbing parts now.

Looking great! So this is going to be bare bottom or sand?
Sorry, I'm sure you mentioned that earlier...
I was just thinking that with sand, it might be blowing around a lot with those CL outlets so low.
