It's bone stock, but it is a special edition TRD called Rock Warrior. Comes with those rims and Billet shocks. It's awesome if I do say so my damn self. Had to drive to Pennsylvania to get it because that edition is really hard to find.

Acid, I spent all day on the phone with the farmer, and it's turned into a cluster. The guys who want to lease it have trampled all over the place. The old farts who own the land adjacent to it, and have donated some of it to NYS as Forever Wild, are busting balls , big time. My mother actually knows them, so I called, only to get a rash of crap from the old bag. She says they walk the property every day and plan to do so right through hunting season. They can do what they want, but getting hurt, just to be right, doesn't sound like a route I'd take. They put a sign on my ladder stand. It's in an easement, but close enough that they can make trouble, and want it down. It's a friggin bees next and I'm sure it's not good for deer activity.

Anyway, I've gotten access to a suburban plot that's next to a huge farm. I'm going in cold on that tomorrow with my climber. Saw tons of does there on Friday when I took a quick peek. Working on catching up with the farmer who owns all that land. Like you said, door to door, the old fashioned way. But, I'd like to wait til next year. That way it's more casual.

cully I've been watching craigslist. thats where I found weichert. let you know if I find anything for next year. took a gamble today and moved my climber. also put my trail cam in the area. we'll see how it pans out.

flood gates were opened on the farm i hunt. stands are everywhere, beer cans, atv tracks etc. blowing off opening day and heading to the swap might be good idea

Fiiiiiiinally got a doe. I'm just glad to have a "W". She's small, but it's meat, and it's the reason I was allowed to hunt where I was today. They're feeling over run and want the does thinned out.

First I had a crotch horn at 30, but it was early and they wanted me to take does. Had this little one bed down 25 yds from my stand. Watched her. She got up, I let her pass at 25 yds. But as the day went on, I began to think of the very stark reality that I might not have any venison this year. The doe came back and hung at 45 yds for like 30 minutes. I told myself if she came inside of 35 I'd take the shot.

Arrow hit, and she dropped where she stood. Took not one step. Feeling so much less stressed about the rest of the season. Love to get a buck, but if it doesn't happen, at least we've got meat!

Woot!!! Nice work Cully!!! A small young doe is what I'm after now to complete my season. Not sure if I'm going to go for her this weekend or if I will wait for gun season.

Anyone with anything to report?

I sat in an awesome spot tonight. All torn up with rubs and scrapes. The locals said they've been running around like crazy.

All I saw tonight was a ruffed grouse chasing and strutting for an uninterested female. Not a single deer. I thought it would be perfect. Wind in my face, nice pinch in front of me. Crappy weather for the last few days etc.....But, nuthin!

I finally have shot my first trophy. Shot this big guy at noon yesterday. Let him sit for 5 hours and tracked him at night. It took a few hours but we got him!

5x5 typical, about 175 pounds field dressed

gonna be getting into bow next season. I'm anxiously waiting for the 20th. I just bought 26 acres in Cat county back in July and its loaded. I had help putting up a stand last night. Nestled in a big hemlock and overlooking field, 2 wood lines and a small spring fed pond. I have been scouting for the past month. So far I have seen a lot of doe, 2 younger bucks and one big ol freak nasty. I am hunting with a mosin nagant 91/30 this year ( as long as I can get the right rounds in the next couple of days anyway). Not having other people on the land is awesome! I'm going for a mock hunt this Sunday just to make sure I like my stand location and to have a full day of serious scouting.
