looks like a cycle to me, and that clam looks terrible

really need some algae eaters....and i am seriously considering putting the fish back in....i dont want to because it will impact my fish choices in the future knowing that the ich is probably not gone....but i am having some serious algae growth....not that its all bad but there is a lot of broysis(spelling?). Maybe i should just put the small purple in for now? what do you guys think?

Your clams probably died from the lack of light. I noticed on one of your other posts you are only using 175 Watt on a 120 gal tank.

When I first setup my tank I also have to deal with the algae issue, so I try to find out 1) PO4 2) Nitrate. it turns out that my DI unit did not filter out Po4 and one of the rock I used from my old tank leached P04. so I remove that rock and test my water for PO4 before I make water change and top-off. good luck

What also help is I use BIO DIGEST and BIOPTIM to help speed up the bioload.

if you think that one looks bad you should see some of the others....LOL that is one of the few that is doing well. thanks
