210 build PIC INTENSE

I believe Rodney was simply stating that, if you take into consideration how big each of these fish are going to get, the tank is going to be packed. The 3 tangs alone become large fish before even considering the rest of the stock list.

i would love to see a yellow tang in a home aquarium less than 5k gallons that gets that big.....

Its hard not to tell off the dumb people who keep telling me how my tank, or fish are doing. I have more experience in this hobby than most and i live with the tank everyday and care very much for everything in it so..... GO JOIN PEDA AND LEAVE THIS HOBBY TO SOMEONE WHO CAN HANDLE IT.
MY FISH ARE ALL VERY HAPPY AND ANYONE WHO SEES IT ON A REGULAR BASIS CAN SEE THAT.
BY THE WAY I AM GOING TO ADD A BLACK TANG AND A PAIR OF CROSSHATCH TRIGGERS SO ENJOY!!!!!

I don't know if you starting this hobby when you were 12 years old actually counts as you having 2 more years of experience then me. However the actions I have seen indicate that I have a lot more.

And I really hope that you are joking about your next purchase. By reading this thread and watching the videos, it isn't going to end well. I have tried to offer up help, and it has been ignored, so I am going to be done with this thread.

Creade I believe he means he has more experience than most of us. Experience or not, it obviously wasn't a good experience for the animals/corals. You have all of this experience, but you did not know that you needed to use an RODI unit with a reef aquarium?

I have to state that I believe you are doing this on purpose. I believe that you must like the attention. Why anyone would put their fish through this is beyond me. You can see in your video clearly that there is stress in that aquarium.

"fish update:
three yellow tangs
purple tang
pb tang
flame angel
lawnmower blenny
scooter blenny
two perc clowns
flame hawkfish
nine yellowtail damsels
nine green chromis
gold stripe maroon clown
seven orange anthias
two black mollys...lol
cleaner wrasse" and now a black tang and pair of crosshatch triggers?!?!?!

If you cared about your fish, you would not put them through that. Case closed.

We are NOT ripping on you. We are TRYING TO HELP YOU! YOU WILL NOT LISTEN!!! I AM DONE!!! Your poor fish. God bless them and help them.

SHOW ME A DINNER PLATE SIZE YELLOW TANG IN A HOME AQUARIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the three tellow tangs is not to much for his tank. I looked at his stocking list and it is not overstocked. And he is not as ignorant as people say he is. He does have more experience than many here, over 10 years now! Give the guy a break already, he is trying hard to work things out. And the viedeo, the fish are not stressed, they are just playing with eachother. I hope your tank does well and does not brake and flood your whole house out one day. Keep up the great work!
On a side note, if anyone is interested, I have some prime beachfront property for sale in.....

He says in the first sentence that he knew he should not have three tangs in that tank but wanted them anyways, and now has three more Yellow tangs in his tank, that when full grown can be the size of LARGE DINNER PLATES.

HEY BRAINIAC, I WAS TALKING ABOUT THREE SURGEONFISH, AND THE THREE YELLOWS I HAVE NOW ARE THE ONLY YELLOWS I HAVE HAD AND ARE FROM THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE TANK AND THE HEALTHIEST FISH IN THE TANK....SO EAT IT

I WANT YOU TO SHOW ME A DINNER PLATE SIZE TANG IN A HOME AQUARIUM!!!!!

LETS SEE YOUR TANK SMART#$%

Do you have a plan for your next parasite outbreak?
Will the Black Tang be killed by the three yellow tangs?
If you do get lucky and dont get another outbreak, what do you expect the tank to look like in 6 months?
Do you expect any nuisance algae to take over?
How about the pair of Triggers?
Do you think that they may be to docile for this enviroment?
Are you going to stir your sandbed daily to try an prevent a serious H2S issue?

LETS SEE YOUR TANK SMART#$%

It's sad that it's come to this. I use these forums to continue to educate myself about the hobby. I think the only way to end EleganceMan's fascination with himself is to lock this forum. He doesn't listen to anyone's advice-that is the reason so many are angry. EleganceMan, I've only stayed current on this thread to see if maybe you finally shut your mouth and opened up your ears and mind, for a change. I use your tank as a reference to what a tank shouldn't be. The "Jerry Springer" references only stem from what your actions speak. Clean up your tank, reduce your bioload and do not post unless you are willing to put up with the advice and criticism you will receive based on those posts. I enjoy this hobby too much to watch other people make a mockery of it.

I hate to see any build thread closed. We can all disagree about stocking and husbandry as long as we do it respectfully. I don't see Agu post that warning too many times in a row without some consequences though.

That being said, EM I do believe that adding 2 more tangs is going to ultimately be very stressful. Not right away but as the tangs mature, get larger and get more aggressive. I think there will be territorial aggression as well as a larger bioload. Tangs are quite messy eaters as I'm sure you already know. The Bryopsis has been getting starved off and under control with the current setup but adding more bioload could tip the balance against you. One can always add more filtration to combat increased bioload but little can be done about aggression other than rearranging rock and that only works to a point. I don't know the limits to tang stocking in that large of a tank. It would be something I would be concerned about though.

For a while I thought EM changed his ways and was learning to accept constructive criticism, but I was wrong...It was a bomb waiting to explode.
