210 build PIC INTENSE

no but i have heard that they consume nitrates and this thing is huge...so if thats right it would cause an increase in nitrates.

Anyone on here from FARGO ND, I am organizing a reef club and coral frag swap let me know if you are interested. There is already thirty some people who have confirmed their interests.

i dont make it down to fargo often but i would if there was a reef club, let me know if you get a site up for the club.

no, the nitrates it has consumed are bound in it, it takes it with them. Now you could theoretically see them creep up if it is a significant consumer and binder of nutrient in your system, but I doubt it is in the scheme of your whole set up. Clams are probably doing far more.

personally i wouldn't start adding vodka, it's never been proven to work here's something on marinedepot you can quickhttp://forum.marinedepot.com/Topic99837-9-1.aspx have a read about it.

i think i need to find some work out of town....because i cannot stop messing with my tank! I keep moving corals and am never happy with where they are! Plus my deresa clam moves all the time...and everything in its path! Not to mention the mushrooms are growing on everything....along with the star polyps!!!! OMG!!! Moments like this make me want to frag everything down to nothing and sell them all and start over!!!.....or i could just let everything grow as they may and concentrate on my 456build!
I want to do something different with that one. Like all LPS or all Acro's! The problem is i like them all and never seem to bring myself to do it! But I do know I am never adding mushrooms(even ricordia's!!!), or star polyps!!!

Wow that clam is huge. Tanks lookin really good are u leaving it up once the plywood tanks finished or moving it all over?

ok, tonight i did some more testing and i am at a loss!!!
my api kits test:
calcium 360
alk 7
phos. .5
nitrates 10

the new elos kits test:
calcium 350
alk 13
phos. .25
nitrates 5

mag. tests 1050 with salifert kit

i have been using that api kit for a year now...should i trust the new elos kits and make some corrections?

I started dosing Bulkreef supply's calcium and mag. and is it just me or does over a gallon of each sound really high to raise my levels from 350calcium to 450, and 1050mag to 1350?
