220 Gallon Tank Pick Up

About to buy a 220 gallon tank. One issue is that its 60 mile away whats the best way of transporting this tank?

Drive home will be all on highway.

So i use a pick up? or van? i just need options to ease my worries.

Pickup or van will be fine, just put something soft under it and strap it down tight so it can't bounce, you'll be fine.

I moved mine in a pickup and wrapped with lots of blankets. Make sure you have an 8 foot bed. I have a 6ft bed and had to leave the tail gate down.

put all the stuff inside the tank, except loose objects. It gives the tank more weight, preventing it from moving around. you'll be fine with a pickup/van.

We used dowels, spaced just right, to roll the tank into the Suburban. Worked like a charm! Just be sure to tie secure the tank to keep it from rolling while driving.

I bought an older o'dell 220. It was heavier than the 300 that replaced it. we scaled the truck at 452lbs heavier with the tank
