220g Mixed Reef

Brief Overview

220g Acrylic tank. 2 corner overflows. I bought used and polished it up looks close to new.

Equipment List

-Reef Octopus 3000 external skimmer
-2 MP40's
-25 watt UV Sterilizer
-75g DIY sump
-roughly 200lbs of rock
-180lbs sand
-refugium (miracle mud / sand)
-Litermeter III
-Apex Controller
-PM2 Module
-3 Orphek Atlantik fixtures

Aquascape is really nice. I wouldn't change it. You can dump rocks do you don't use in DT into your sump.

When I was trying to plum I didnt want to mix the fresh RO/DI with the new salt. The gravity fed design is more better.

Refugium/clean up crew

Refugium/clean up crew

The tank has finally completed the cycle as there was a spike in nitrate.

Looking to stock my refugium and add a cleanup crew. Can anyone give me some advice? Thinking about cheato and ulva for the refugium as well as ordering some pods.

Tank looks great aquascape is nice! I am no expert but I only use chaeto and I find it really keeps my nitrates down I only have 65G of water though

Been adding the cleanup crew the past couple weeks. Added cheato and ulva to the refugium

Cloudy water help?!

So a couple days after the canopy was put on the tank the water became really cloudy. I have no idea what the cause is. Ammonia / Nitrites / Nitrates are all ZERO! phostphates are high around 1.0 but thats simply due to the dry rock and i havent plumbed my reactor yet. PICS BELOW

if params didn't change. and you don't have a reactor going, I would say algae bloom....
