225 Tank build thread

well I just measured mine, and it's about a 23" footprint. It's smaller at the base, but 23" in the middle. It's also 36" tall..... Let me see what's going on tomorrow night after work. It would probably be around 7.

I know, I know... I called them last week and they said they needed the 3 digit code on my card. A-holes never called me for it. I wasted 3 weeks thinking it was caught up in customs. :( Who knows when I'll get it, I tried to call them today and just got their machine. I'll try again tomorrow.

Finally got hold of someone, and my order is just going out today!!!:mad2: I'm so p!ssed!!!
 
that's ok. I know the area. I will load them onto the truck in the morning and stop by on my way home. Actually it may be closer to 5:30 if thats ok....
 
Not sure if the rock is done yet, but we don't have months to let it sit... Gotta have it at least running by 5/5... Dad's having a big party for the DeLaHoya fight.
 
Everything is delivered for the lights, so I'll be starting that tomorrow and hope to have a completed water test tonight. :D
 
nice, If you need any help, like always you now the number. I'm pretty good at mopping up floods if it's necessary... LOL Check you PM's
 
Well, I just walked in the door and sorry to say I don't have any pics... The water test was a 90% success, the P trap style drain for the tank just traps too much air and really plays with the level of everything... One more thing I'll need to redo tomorrow. :( Oh well...

Light rack is mostly built, and I have most of the supplies for the hanging system. Because of the way the soffet and the joists run I'll need to install some nailers before I can hang the rack. So much darn work to do. :(
 
Thats a cool rack you designed Eric! Man those 10K XMs on EVC ballast are awesome! Hopefully that color holds while it burns in. Suckers are bright!
 
Thanks for your help Russ, oh and it's the ballast not the GFI... :( Now I need to find an EVC 250w ballast... OE doesn't have them in stock any more and I can't seem to find a used one listed... Anyone have one sitting around?
 
Bummer about the ballast. Looks like someone has posted about availabilty of the EVC ballast at the OE forum a few days ago, but there is no replies. Looking at JBNYs data, the ReefFanatic E ballast would be the closest thing.
 
Thanks Russ, went out to their website and they only carry CoralVue and IceCap... I think we are going to be stuck ordering a pair of new IceCap ballasts, I wish I would have known the ballast was bad, or I would have just gone to 400W for the pair instead. :( Oh well...
